Camelot Portfolios LLC has decreased its holdings in real estate investment trust (REIT) Ventas, Inc. (VTR:NYE) by 60% during the fourth quarter, according to the firm’s latest Form 13F filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The fund sold 6,935 shares, leaving it with 4,631 VTR stock shares in the company, valued at $209,000 at the end of the quarter.
Other institutional investors and hedge funds have also made changes to their holdings in Ventas, with 91.28% of the VTR stock now owned by such investors. Meanwhile, Ventas CEO Debra A. Cafaro recently sold 32,932 shares of the company’s stock in a transaction valued at $1.74m.

Several analysts have issued reports on Ventas recently, with Raymond James and KeyCorp assigning an “outperform” and “overweight” rating respectively.

Ventas’s stock opened at $42.26 on Wednesday, with a 50-day simple moving average of $47.92 and a 200-day simple moving average of $45.04. The REIT reported ($0.11) earnings per share for the quarter ending 9 February 2023, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.72 per share.
According to Stock Target Advisor, the consensus rating for Ventas is a “Strong Buy” with an average price target of $50.44.
Quarterly Earnings Review:
Despite this, Ventas’s revenue for the quarter was up 2.8% year-over-year, and equities analysts forecast that the firm will post 2.98 earnings per share for the current year. Ventas will pay its shareholders a quarterly dividend of $0.45 per share on 13 April.
